The idea for GRAVR was established in 2023 at an extended family camping trip in northern Wisconsin.
Founders Heath Isely and Tim Fischer were discussing their work at a picnic table when Heath mentioned using technology to allow anybody to access an obituary while standing at a gravesite.
The initial concept was a QR code, but they quickly realized that a century from now, QR codes might be obsolete or look tacky. This led to the birth of a GPS-based identification system.
Today, GRAVR simplifies the manual challenges of the funeral industry, making the process of honoring loved ones more accessible and intuitive through modern innovation.
